6 months as an Intern at Casamona, What have I learnt?

 First of all, let me introduce me: I am Lauren from the UK and I have been a Junior Office Manager at Casamona for 6 months. During these 6 months, I have had the opportunity to experience many aspects of the real estate world in Barcelona. However, arguably the best thing about my 6 months at Casamona, is the opportunity I've had to work with such a young and diverse group of individuals, from whom I have learned so much from, not only about the world, but also about myself, too!

Life as a Junior Office Manager

I began my Casamona Journey in August 2022, despite my initial apprehension, feeling I would be way out of my depth having no prior experience of the real estate world, I was quickly welcomed by the rest of the team and felt completely at ease within the company.

As a Junior Office Manager, I was responsible for the company inbox and phone, and I was tasked with working alongside the management team in order to manage the rest of the office. Also, I was given the opportunity to be involved in the Management Contract and HR departments. Being involved in each of these departments within the company has allowed me to improve my communication, organisation, and admin skills. What is most important, is that I feel I have grown so much as a person, this internship has greatly improved my confidence and I will be forever for that. 

What have I learnt from the Team?

An internship at Casamona is unlike any other internship out there. Moving to a new country and starting a new job as a young adult can be extremely daunting, however at Casamona, every member of the team is in the same boat, as we are all interns! The Casamona junior team is made up of around 10-12 young adults from all over the world. The diversity of the team, for me has been the most enjoyable part of my experience at Casamona. I have learnt so much, culturally and linguistically from each and every intern I have had the pleasure of working with. I have made friends from France, Italy, the Netherlands and many other amazing countries, and I will fondly remember our times together at Casamona and hope that we all keep in touch. Casamona really brings people from across the world together!

Life in Barcelona

Casamona is located in one of the best cities in the world, in my opinion! Alongside my internship, I have had the amazing opportunity to experience everything that the city of Barcelona has to offer. From the city's beautiful narrow streets in the gothic quarter, Barcelona beach, to the array of breath-taking architecture around every corner of Barcelona, you will never be bored. i would recommendations to experience in Barcelona would have to be: Montjuic castle, FC Barcelona match, sunset at the bunkers and Shoko (the best club in Barcelona).
