What the First Day of a Casamona Intern is Like
In general your first day at Casamona will be a day devoted to training as you need to learn many things about your new role.
Preparing for your first day of the internship remains an essential step in settling well. Since you have made a decision to sign your contract at Casamona it is also your obligation to carefully read the handbook that our HR sends you.
Because your first 2 weeks will be filled with training from all departments, it is important for you to know as much as possible beforehand, so that you can easily fit in.
To get you up to speed, we prepared this blog for you so that you know what will await you during the two weeks of training.
When you apply to Casamona, you apply for a specific role but we want you to be able to work in several departments and be flexible.
It is always important to arrive on time and for your first day. Our office is already open at 9.40 AM and we hope to see you then.
When you arrive, choose a table and sit where you want, prepare your stuff, have a notebook to take notes and a fully functioning computer.
Ask who your mentor is this person who will help you for your first day. You will have several tests to do about Casamona and what is expected from you, so please read carefully again the Handbook.
Your day will start at 10:00 AM with our morning meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to find out what each person plans to do during the day. We want our interns to be independent and to be able to plan your day out. Use Trello to do this effectively.
The obvious question is: "BUT WHAT IS TRELLO?' Trello is a communication tool for Casamona. We use this website to organize our days, to know what each team does, what are the projects etc. Do not worry, you will receive training about this on your first day, to know what each team does, what the project etc.
During this meeting you will also be able to get to know the team, who does what and who you can turn to if you have questions.
After the morning meeting you will receive a lot of information and you will spend a long time with your mentor doing general training for all Casamona departments. No pressure, you don't have to be on top of all areas it's just to give you a good overview of the company, in order to know how to deal with different situations.
We can't wait to meet you!
